Waiting. Patient. Hopeful. Faithful.

Drive away the cold from this winter soul
and renew your spirit in me
Let the rain fall sweet from your mercy seat
and remind me that you never will forget
to wash away the bitter in the end...

'Cause we all reach for something
don't we?
we do
Live and breathe this one thing
don't we?
we do

I know you're there just beyond this prayer
and I believe you silent as you are
This emptiness is not purposeless
It is only thirst compelling us to drink
Only questions find the answers that we seek

Every atom in me waits- every breath anticipates
Lord if this is what it takes I'll sit right here with you...

Ok lets be honest. The patient I'm working on. It has never been one of my virtues, but I am more than up for the challange.

Hey! Is this a song? 'Cause if it isn't, it definitely needs some music with it. I love you and can't wait to talk with you soon!

Katie - know that you continue to be in my prayers. I know it probably sounds cliche... but I want you to know it's sincere.

Give me a break with all the poetic B.S. If you want to get really "real", why don't you tell everyone how "finding yourself" involves partying so much that you constantly reek of booze? Maybe the real you is located at the bottom of a bottle? I don't know how people can support you, Katie, when you've left your children to booze it up. Although, it's not surprising, because isn't abandoning kids your MO? It's not like you don't have any experience in that area. Oh, am I being to harsh for you? Too bad. I guess I have about as much respect for you as you have for your poor family.

Anonymous 2:01 pm,

If you are a Christian, I respectfully suggest you read Matthew 18: Go privately to rebuke. What purpose is served by publically exposing sin?

That you don't have the goal of seeing Katie restored is abundantly evident in your sarcasm and spleen-venting harshness. May God have mercy on you if ever you find yourself in a place of weakness and woundedness.

I contend that one sincerely desiring to speak constructively into someone else's life, will not hide behind the useless, self-serving cover of anonymity.

Yours for saner, kinder blogging,

D.D.

Hi, Katie.

I understand.

And poetry, for the ignorant among us, is often generated by people who are artistic and who are bipolar as well. A generalization, yes, but one that has much credibility if you do some research on famous poets, writers, artists....

Katie, I do not know you but have followed this blog after learning of your sister's death.

Pay no attention to people who don't understand, and people who are too critical to be of any constructive help to you.

I avoid people who get off on judging others.

Pray for "Anonymous" because she seems to be carrying around an awful lot of hate.
